Cybercrime police arrested a New Delhi-based gang of online scamsters.

Hyderabad: Cybercrime police arrested a New Delhi-based gang of online scamsters who cheated the public in the name of installing cellphone towers and building warehouses. The accused were identified as Mohd Junaid Alam, 29, of Ghaziabad; Anupreet Kaur, 28, of Tilaknagar; Mohd Mushir, 27, and Prem Kishore, 33, Anupreet’s husband.
Chandanagar resident Swayam Prakasham told the police that based on an advertisement for vacant open space, he had called the number given there. A person who identified himself as Rishab Khurana of Warehouse Solutions directed him to the company website. After following the procedure, Mr Prakasham paid Rs 35 lakh. The gang prepared fake documents to show the handover of land. Then they switched off the mobile phones and shut down the website, Cyberabad police commissioner Sandeep Shandilya said.
