Bail to cop arrested in flesh trade case: The High Court on Monday granted bail to Karibasappa, the suspended head constable attached to the Parappana Agrahara police station who was arrested in an alleged flesh trade case. The court granted bail while imposing certain conditions along with directions to assist the investigation.

The Mico Layout police had arrested the policeman after the probe revealed that the money paid by customers seeking sexual favours was allegedly being credited into the policeman’s bank account. The police had raided a luxury villa in BTM Layout, following a tipoff that the accommodation was being used to run a prostitution racket. When the prime accused and others were grilled, they had revealed that they knew Karibasappa for the last 3-4 years and he was supporting them. The accused said that they knew him since the days he was working at the Madiwala police station.
