Jaunpur: Police in Uttar Pradesh's Jaunpur area confirmed receiving a complaint about a 12-year-old girl being raped during a wedding.
According to preliminary investigation, the police said that the family was attending a wedding, when the 12-year-old, who is deaf and dumb, was raped by some male members from the groom's side. The incident took place in the Baksha police station area of Jaunpur district.
Police said the victim has been admitted to district hospital for treatment and medical test. Further details are awaited.
