Hyderabad: Siddipet police arrested two men in connection with the Monday's murder of a member of Zilla Parishad Territorial Constituency (ZPTC) from BRS.
Police said that they have arrested Nangi Satyanarayana (32) and Baswaraju
Sampath Kumar (24) for the murder of Shetty Mallesham, who was killed while
on his morning walk in Gurjakunta village.
A case was booked following a complaint from the wife of the deceased,
Shetty Swapna, who stated that Mallesham was proceeding to Gurjakunta
crossroads when the men attacked him with knives and escaped. Locals and
family members shifted him to a hospital in Hyderabad, where he succumbed.
"During questioning the two said that Mallesham harassed them in the name of
their caste. They confessed that they had decided to kill him, unable to
bear the humiliation," police said.
