Visakhapatnam: A first-year Intermediate student of a private college has enacted his own kidnapping to bunk college in Vizag on Tuesday. Now, the police are seeking legal advice on whether or not to register a case against the student as he is a minor. As per reports, the student Mohammed Moinuddin was allegedly kidnapped on Tuesday morning at NAD Junction area in Vizag and was released near Kothavalasa area in Vizianagaram on Tuesday evening.
But, police investigation revealed that the boy had enacted his own kidnapping to bunk college. Police said that Moinuddin left for college on Tuesday morning. However, Moinuddin’s father Mohammed Ghouse received an SMS from the college that his son didn’t attend college and another SMS from his son, claiming that he was kidnapped.
Few days back Moinuddin was reportedly beaten up by four people near college over an issue and the student was not interested in going back to college. Inspector of Airport PS N. Prabhakar said that they have traced the boy and will verify for further proceedings.
