Four burglars held, goods worth Rs 40 lakh recovered

According to the police, they were involved in murder, attempt to murder, theft and burglary.

BENGALURU: Four notorious burglars, including two rowdy sheeters, were arrested by the Magadi Road police station and goods worth Rs 40 lakh was recovered from them.

The accused have been identified as, Chandrashekar alias Jacky, 33, a resident of Andrahalli, Madhusudan alias Cat, 23, a resident of Rajajinagar, Pratap alias Lovely, 25, a resident of Vrushabhavathi Nagar and Ravi Prakash, 30, from Hassan.

According to the police, they were involved in murder, attempt to murder, theft and burglary. They were involved in eight theft cases in Hanumanthanagar, Magadi Road and Vijayanagar police stations.

They sold the ornaments at gold showrooms and other items for a lesser price at some select shops.

Chandrashekar and Madhusudan were listed as rowdy sheeters in Basaveshwara Nagar, JJ Nagar and Rajajinagar police stations. They were also involved in seven other cases in different police stations.

They were jailed and recently got bail. The Magadi Road police have registered a case and recovered gold ornaments weighitn 1.24 kg, a platinum ring weighing 7.3 g and two high-end Breitling watches.
