KURNOOL: Nandyal resident Mullah Khaja Hussain, who is a lecturer at a private college, was arrested on Thursday for commenting on social media against ACB Judge B. Satya Venkata Hima Bindu.
Telugu Desam chief N. Chandrababu had been arrested in a skill development scam following an order passed by Hima Bindu.
Nandyal Two Town police produced Hussain before the court, which granted him bail.
Hussain is the state Telugu Desam social media organising secretary of the Telugu Desam and made comments targeting Vijayawada ACB court Judge B Satya Venkata Hima Bindu.
Nandyal city DSP C. Maheswar Reddy said the accused Hussain had criticised the judge on social media and went on to call her Hima Bindu Reddy," Consequently, they have filed charges against the TD organising secretary under relevant sections for damaging the reputation of a judge and misusing social media platforms.
Hussain was granted immediate bail, as sections under which he had been booked carry a punishment of less than seven years.
