Karnataka High Court extends stay on action against B S Yeddyurappa

Justice Aravind Kumar passed the order after hearing the arguments of both parties.

Bengaluru: The Karnataka High Court on Monday extended till August 30 its interim order directing the Anti Corruption Bureau (ACB) not to proceed with any prosecutive action against state BJP president B.S. Yeddyurappa in an alleged illegal land denotification matter.

Justice Aravind Kumar passed the order after hearing the arguments of both parties. The judge had on August 23 directed the ACB not to proceed against the former chief minister. The ACB had then told the court it was withdrawing its notice served on Yeddyurappa to appear before it the next day. The judge adjourned the hearing to August 30.
