Hyderabad: Woman falls from bike as snatchers grab chain
Hyderabad: A woman who was going to attend a funeral was robbed by chain snatchers in Hayathnagar. During the robbery the woman fell down from the bike and was injured. The snatcher took her three tola gold chain.
Another woman too was robbed by chain snatchers in Boduppal. She lost her 4.2 tola gold chain. However, they were nabbed after a chase around five km away from the spot.
Police said Guddeti Andalu, hailing from Majeedpur, and her son G. Ramesh were going to Chilkur. When they reached the ORR bridge a biker snatched her chain and fled. As a result of the pull Andalu fell down from the bike and suffered injuries. She is out of danger now. “The chain snatcher was riding a red bike,” inspector Goud said.
In the incident in Boduppal S. Usharani, 60, was robbed. The snatcher approached from behind on foot and grabbed her chain.
He got into a car and fled. Police chased the car, and nabbed the snatchers.
