Hyderabad: Sujana Prakash Kumari, the HZP High School, has been booked under Section 324 of the Indian Penal Code and Section 75 of the JJ Act.
The teacher allegedly beat 36 students of Class VI ruthlessly with a neem stick after she saw the children celebrating the birthday of one of their classmates.
The sub inspector of Amangal, Y Ramalinga Reddy said, “The complaint was brought to our notice when a student’s mother complained about the incidents after seeing the scars on her child’s hands. We have registered a case against the teacher.”
The parents of the children demanded immediate suspension of the teacher from the education department. They said the teacher misused her official powers to assault the children for celebrating birthday.
