Hyderabad: South Zone Police solved the alleged murder of rowdy sheeter Shaik Feroz Hussain, who was killed on Tuesday and arrested six persons for the crime.
The arrested were identified as Syed Imtiaz, Mohammed Aijaz, Syed Wahed Ali, Mohammed Ali Khan, Mohammed Afroz and Shaik Khurban.
According to police, on Tuesday morning, Feroz and two of his friends were intercepted at Shaik ki Masjid area in Mustafanagar under Falaknuma police station limits. A quarrel broke out between Feroz and the suspects over some petty issue. The two groups, however dispersed.
Later, while Feroz and his friends were having tea, the suspects came back on their bikes with empty beer bottles and attacked Feroz.
“Syed Imtiaz hit Feroz on the back of his head. When he fell, Imtiaz stabbed Feroz with the broken beer bottle. Aijaz also hit him with a bottle injuring his right ribs,” DCP South Zone V Satyanarayana said. The attackers sped away.
Feroz was taken to a hospital by his friends where he succumbed to injuries.
