Kevin murder case: IG Vijay Sakhare to head 6-member SIT

The special teams should report the progress of investigation to ADGP South-zone Anil Kanth.

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: A six-member special team under the direct supervision of Ernakulam-range IG Vijay Sakhare has been constituted by the state police chief Loknath Behera to probe into the suspected honour killing case. Hari Shankar, who was posted as new district police chief in Kottyam, will be the operational head of the team and Kottayam district crime branch DySP Gireesh P. Sarathy will be the chief investigation officer. Pala DySP V.G. Vinod Kumar, Kottayam crime branch - organised crime wing DYSP S. Ashok Kumar and crime branch inspector G. Gopakumar will be the members of the team.

The state police chief also directed IGs of crime branch and Thiruvananthapuram and Ernakulam ranges to form special teams to immediately trace the accused. The special teams should report the progress of investigation to ADGP South-zone Anil Kanth.
