Hyderabad: Rachakonda police conducted cordon and search operations at Yadadri and LB nagar zones on Friday night and detained eight suspects with past criminal history.
At Yadadri zone, under the supervision of DCP E. Ramchandra Reddy, 150 police personnel conducted searches at Bhoodan Pochampally mandal.
During the searches, 56 bikes and two cars without valid documents were seized. Five LPG cylinders which were stored illegally were also seized. One belt shop was sealed and a case was booked against the owner.
Police also detained five persons with past criminal history to verify their movements.
At LB Nagar, 400 police personnel under the supervision of DCP M. Venkateswar Rao conducted searches in which 27 bikes, three autos and one car was seized.
Three cases were booked and three persons were detained for storing banned gutka products. The police also seized 8o illegally stored liquor bottles during the operation.
DCP Venkateswar Rao said that the search was aimed at tracking the movements of anti-social elements if any taking shelter in this area. “ The operations will be conducted at regular intervals to ensure a safe atmosphere in the residential colonies.” he said.
