The deceased S. Sanjay (15) and S. Saravanan (12) of Bengaluru visited their aunt Prema's house in Tiruvalluvar Nagar in Old Pallavaram to spend summer holidays.
Chennai: A tourist from Andhra Pradesh drowned in the sea at Marina beach, Chennai, on Friday evening. The deceased has been identified as V. Suresh Kumar (48), of Warangal in Andhra Pradesh. “Suresh Kumar had come to the city with his family as tourists on Friday. The family visited Marina beach in the evening,” the police said.
While Suresh Kumar was playing in the beach, a huge tide pulled the man into the sea. Although the family and fisherman tried to save him, he went missing.
Meanwhile, Anna Square police reached the spot and searched the man. Suresh Kumar’s body was washed ashore after a while. The police sent the body to the government hospital for post-mortem. A case has been registered and the investigation is on.
