Bengaluru: 2 held for pushing man from terrace

The police said that on the night of January 19, the deceased, Devaraj, was partying with his friends on his terrace.

Bengaluru: The Girinagar police arrested two people for pushing a 29-year-old man to death from the terrace for throwing garbage on them.

The accused have been identified as Suresh G., 44, a resident of Rajarajeshwarinagar, and M.B. Gopal, 48, a resident of Timber Yard Layout, Mysuru Road.

The police said that on the night of January 19, the deceased, Devaraj, was partying with his friends on his terrace.

As the party was winding down, he threw a plastic bag which had leftover snacks on the road which accidentally fell on one of the two pedestrians.

They climbed up and picked up a fight with him. During the fight, Devaraj fell from the terrace and died on spot and the two fled from the spot.

The Girinagar police had registered a case under IPC 304 (culpable homicide) and have arrested the two accused on Saturday with the help of the CCTV footage.
