Man kills cousin over petty issue, escapes in Bengaluru
BENGALURU: A fight between two cousins over a minor issue ended in the death of a 25-year-old flower merchant on Magadi Road Wednesday.
The deceased has been identified as Chetan and the accused as Rohith. On Wednesday morning, Chetan was tying an advertisement banner for his newly opened flower shop at Agrahara Dasarahalli. Rohith who has a flower shop next to Chetan’s objected, saying it was blocking his shop.
Chetan ignored Rohit and tied the banner. The duo then indulged in a verbal duel and in the heat of the argument Rohith stabbed Chetan multiple times.
Chetan, who was lying in a pool of blood, was rushed to a nearby hospital where he was declared brought dead. Rohith managed to escape from the spot. The Magadi Road police, who have registered a case, have launched a manhunt to nab the accused.
Chetan and Rohit lived in houses next to each other and grew up together, the police said.
