Visakhapatnam: Four jailed for drunken driving
The first three persons were jailed for three days while the fourth one for seven days.
Visakhapatnam: Taking a stand against drunken driving incidents, the special Metropolitan Magistrate not only imposed a fine but also put four persons behind bars for three-seven days here on Monday. New Port traffic police had caught them in an inebriated condition and produced them before the magistrate.
Based on the Blood Alcohol Content (BAC) of the motorists, a fine was imposed and they were jailed. The persons were identified as Seerapu Appalaraju, K Srinu, UP Rao, Indala Pentayya, all belonged to the city. The first three persons were jailed for three days while the fourth one for seven days. All belonged to the city limits only. The magistrate suggested public not to drive vehicles in an inebriated condition.
