Unidentified Woman's Body Found in Ambernagar Amid Heavy Rainfall

HYDERABAD: The body of an unidentified woman was found washed away at Ambernagar under the Warasiguda police station on Thursday.

While it is speculated that the woman had fallen in an overflowing nala near Doodh Bavi and got washed away, police suspect that the woman jumped in the nala.

ACP Chilkalguda V Jaipal Reddy said the police have shifted the body for a post-mortem examination and have intensified efforts to trace her identity.

A case has been registered at the Warasiguda PS and further investigation is underway.

The incident occurred during very heavy rain that hit different parts of the city on Thursday evening.

Houses in low-lying areas of Tolichowki, Seven Tombs area, Shaikpet, Deendayalnagar and Manikonda were filled with rainwater. Roads were inundated in Miyapur, Swarnapuri Colony, Allwyn Colony, Medchal, Maisammaguda, Old and New Alwal, Abids, Musheerabad and Padmarao Nagar.
