While school staff alleged that Rajesh died by suicide, his parents alleged that some unknown persons murdered their son and hanged the body to a tree. Police recorded statements of the school staff and parents. Later, the body was shifted to a mortuary.

It was reported that some students went to participate in Ganesh immersion and procession held at Atmakur on Wednesday night. On knowing about it, the school staff vented out anger on the students. The SFI leaders demanded the government to pay a compensation of Rs 50 lakh to Rajesh parents as his father is differently-abled and belongs to the economically weaker section of the society.
