Hyderabad: An RMP doctor allegedly molested a patient who came to him for treatment of stomach ache in Malkajgiri on Tuesday. Police registered a case against Dr Sadiq. Police said the 40-year-old victim who stays at Malkajgiri is self-employed and stays near Dr Sadiq’s clinic. She used to often visit his Madhu Clinic for treatment of health problems. On Tuesday, at around 10.30 am, she came to the clinic for treatment of stomach ache as she was suffering from pains since yesterday. The clinic was empty without any other patients when she came.
“When she went into his cabin for consultation he molested her saying that it was part of the treatment,” Malkajgiri SI Saidulu said. The woman raised an alarm and ran out of the clinic. Later, she filed a complaint with the police. Police registered a case for outraging the modesty of a woman and under provisions of the Criminal Amendment Act 2013 and arrested Dr Sadiq. Police found that Dr Sadiq had been running the clinic since five years and has a BEAMS certificate. Police said that a probe is on to find out if he really had the RMP or PMP certificates issued by medical authorities.
