Telangana: Man dies in bid to retrieve earphones

He was awaiting results for group examinations and was staying with friends.

Hyderabad: A 30-year-old man was electrocuted on Sunday when he was trying to retrieve his earphones stuck in a tree with an iron rod and accidentally came in contact with a high tension wire. The deceased was identified as Ganga Ravinder, 30, a resident of Gouthamnagar. He was awaiting results for group examinations and was staying with friends.

“He stepped out of the building and forgot to carry earphones. When he asked his friends they threw it from the balcony and it landed on a branch. Ravinder went back to the second floor and tried to shake the branch using an iron rod which accidentally came in contact with a high tension wire. He died on the spot. His friends who were standing near him also were injured,” police said.

The injured persons were shifted to Kamala Hospital. Saroornagar police booked a case and shifted the body to the mortuary.
