Hyderabad: A 17-year-old Inter-mediate student committed suicide in Vanasthalipuram on Sunday. Police said Guruswamy Nayak, who was staying in a hostel, was depressed as he was not willing to stay away from parents.
Guruswamy Nayak, who was studying in a city based hostel, came home on vacation a few days ago. On Sunday he was alone at home, after his parents left out on some work. When they returned home, they found Guruswamy Nayak hanging onto the ceiling and informed the Police. Police registered a case of suspicious death and shifted the body for autopsy.
Inquiries revealed that he had told his parents in the past about his unwillingness to stay in the hostel, but continued as they wanted him to stay in the hostel only.
Unable to bear this, he ended his life on Sunday, says Mr Muralikrishna, Inspector Vanasthalipuram Police station.
