Hyderabad: Conman facing 11 cheating cases arrested
Police said Chary, who had 11 cheating cases pending against him, used to collect contact numbers from an online service.
Hyderabad: The Central Zone Task Force arrested a person who claimed he was working with the Chief Minister’s Office and cheated government officials and company owners. The accused, Rayabandi Surya Prakash Chary, 40, used to collect money from them for ostensibly organising conferences about Telangana martyrs.
Police said Chary, who had 11 cheating cases pending against him, used to collect contact numbers from an online service.
Task Force DCP P. Radha Kishan Rao said, “In one case, he asked for money to organise food distribution to commemorate the martyrs and collected Rs 1 lakh.”
Some of those who were cheated by him checked up with the CMO and were told there was no one by that name.
