Bengaluru: Man convicted for sexually harassing daughter

Along with the jail term, a fine of Rs 5,000 was also imposed.

Bengaluru: A man was convicted to five years imprisonment by a local court on Thursday for sexually harassing his minor daughter for two years.

The convict has been identified as Ravi alias Ravikumar, a resident of Hanumanthanagar, and the incident was reported nearly a year ago.

According to the police, the man had been sexually harassing his 14 year old daughter while she was alone at home.

The complaint was filed by the victim’s mother and the Hanumanthanagar police arrested him on 29 August 2017 under the IPC Section 376 and POCSO Act.

Along with the jail term, a fine of Rs 5,000 was also imposed.
