Hyderabad: Man murders wife, surrenders

Two weeks ago, Narasimha bought an axe from Jummerat Bazaar and hid it at home.

Hyderabad: In yet another case of a man murdering his wife, a 40-year-old fruit vendor killed his wife and later surrendered to Malakpet police on Friday. The couple had quarreled often over domestic issues.

The accused, Narasimha, married to Muthamma 15 year ago and the couple had two sons. “The fought over trivial matters frequently and even questioned each other’s fidelity. At one point, Muthamma lived at her mother’s place for an year. The elders of the family counselled them after which she moved back to their residence at Pochamma Basthi in Malakpet,” police inspector A. Ganga Reddy said. Two weeks ago, Narasimha bought an axe from Jummerat Bazaar and hid it at home. On Thursday night, he hit Muthamma with the axe several times till she was dead. He then surrendered before the police.
