Hyderabad: Three members of an interstate Ganja supplying gang involved in supplying Ganja from agency areas in Vizag to Hyderabad city and other cities in the neighboring states were caught by the Special Operations Team of Rachakonda. They also seized material worth Rs 17 lakh including Ganja weighing 110 kg, one car used in transportation and mobiles phones of the suspects, who are identified as Gaddameedi Ravinder alias Ravi(53), Lotha Thammi Naidu alias Naidu(22) and Anupoju Sai Shiva Kumar alias Saishiva, while another member Srinu is absconding.
Acting on a tip off, Cops intercepted a Car near ORR at Pedda Amberpet and apprehended three persons for illegally transporting Ganja from Chintapally village of Visakhapatnam district to Hyderabad for selling to the agents.
According to Police, the prime suspect Ravinder hailing from Warangal district is working as a security guard in the city and is frequently supplying Ganja from Vozag and East Godavari districts to Hyderabad and other states. "Ravinder was arrested twice by Excise police at Salem in Tamilnadu and in Warangal district for transporting Ganja. " Commissioner Mahesh Bhagwat said.
