Death at Indian School of Business is still a mystery
Hyderabad: Although police says that Chaitanya Bayanwala, 26, a research associate at the Indian School of Business (ISB), accidentally fell to death, mystery still shrouds the incident. Police still cannot figure out how an adult could slip from a balcony that has a four feet high railing. But police says a person living on the eighth floor saw the man falling. Cops say there was no sign of a scuffle inside the room or outside, and that Chaitanya was alone.
Though police suspected that Chaitanya may have been drunk they later found that he was not drunk before the fall. "His friends said they went out to buy alcohol and when they came back neighbours told them about the accident. They said none of them was drunk,” said an official. Police is now waiting for the autopsy report to find if Chaitanya had consumed drugs. “Going by our inquiry this is an accident. We have to check the autopsy report,” said inspector J. Ramesh Kumar.
Chaitanya is an alumni of IIT Kharagpur. He and his two friends Piyush and Swapnil were staying in a rented flat at Hill Ridge Springs. On Saturday, his friends went out to get beer. They were told by a neighbour that Chaitanya had fallen from the building. They rushed the victim to Care Hospital in Madhapur and he was declared brought dead.
