Hyderabad: Ghaziabad man held for cheating job aspirants
Hyderabad: The Cyber Crime Police arrested a 25-year-old, who cheated several job aspirants on the pretext of providing jobs by contacting through mobile phones and emails on Monday. The arrested was identified as Rahul Kumar, a resident of New Panchavati Colony in Ghaziabad, UP. “The arrest was carried out following a complaint received from a woman in SR Nagar, where she stated that she was contacted by an unknown person while she was searching for a job in an MNC and adds that she paid him Rs 1,21,050,” said DCP, CCS, Avinash Mohanty.
“The man has been cheating job seekers by contacting them over emails. He procures the information through web portals and makes calls posing as global organisations. He then used to collect money and change his mobile number frequently,” the official said, adding that the public is warned to not believe such job offers and not proceed with the payment as genuine companies would never collect money for hiring someone.
The man has been booked under relevant Sections of IPC and brought to the city.
