BHADRAK: The Odisha police on Thursday arrested an MBA student of a private college from a boys’ hostel here for allegedly harassing a girl and uploading her ‘obscene’ pictures on social media. The arrested was identified as Dhananjay Mohanty from Sribaschapur in Bhadrak. The matter came to light after Mohanty uploaded some personal pictures of a girl on social media following which the girl lodged a complaint.
Police began an investigation into the incident and after searching, Mohanty was arrested from a boys’ hostel in Janla. The accused was booked under various Sections of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) and Information Technology Act and sent to jail custody, sources said.
