Anantapur: Atmakur police registered criminal cases against a tahsildar and village revenue officer for illegal transfer of 52.35 acres of valuable land to others in the district on Sunday.
The original land owner Jogi Shankaraiah, a resident of Pulivendula lodged a complaint with Atmakur police that tahsildar M.S. Thaj Baba along with revenue inspector and village revenue officer had cheated his family members by transferring 52.35 acres of their land situated in Sy.N0.546 in Atmakur village fields. The complainant said that none of Jogi Kondappa’s sons have consent or information about the process of transferring lands to others illegally. The Atmakur police said a case was registered against the tahsildar and the other two under Section 420.
