Hyderabad: Woman, lover arrested for murder
Hyderabad: The Shameerpet police arrested the wife of a labourer from AP and her lover on Monday for their alleged involvement in the murder of her husband N. Ramarao, 42, a resident of Thumkunta and native of Srikakulam of AP,
Ramarao was stabbed with a piece of glass on his temple leading to the death on August 14. The murder came to light the next day.
Balanagar DCP P.V. Padmaja said during the probe it was found that Ramarao and one D. Shiva, 34, a resident of Singaipally. were working together with a contractor. Shiva during his visits to Ramarao’s house allegedly developed intimacy with Ramarao’s wife N. Sridevi, 35.
Ramarao learned about the affair between his wife and Shiva and warned her to break it off. “As Ramarao was forcing her to stop talking to Shiva and assaulting her physically, Sridevi decided to kill him and offered Shiva Rs 5,000 to do the job,” the DCP said.
On August 14, Shiva picked up Ramarao from a wine shop after offering him liquor and took him on his bike to Thumkunta where they began drinking. “When Ramarao passed out, Shiva broke the alcohol bottle and stabbed him with the glass on his left temple and also hit him on the head. After the murder, Shiva met Sridevi, informed her about the murder and fled from the village,” said Ms Padmaja.
The DCP said that on Monday, Shiva was held at Thumkunta and on his confession Sridevi was arrested. They were remanded to the judicial custody.
