Tamil Nadu: Man kills uncle over property row
Palanisamy was maintaining Kalidas' share after the death of his father, but refused to settle the property.
Pollachi: A 40-year-old man was arrested for allegedly murdering his relative over a property dispute in Anamalai near Pollachi. According to police, Palanisamy, 68, a farmer, lived in Sivan Koil street near Thensithoor in Anamalai. His brother's son Kalidas, 40, picked a quarrel with him on Friday evening, demanding settlement of his share of one acre as mentioned in their family property document.
Palanisamy was maintaining Kalidas’ share after the death of his father, but refused to settle the property. Following a quarrel, Kalidas smashed Palanisamy’s head with a stone, killing him on the spot and escaping before neighbors could catch him. Kottoor police rushed to the spot and sent his body to Pollachi GH for post-mortem.
