Based on the complaint given by Ruby, police arrested Srinivasan and sent him to judicial custody.
Chennai: Ambattur police have arrested a man who had entered a doctor's house in the guise of a patient and snatched her gold chain, on Thursday.
The arrested was identified as P.Srinivasan(43) of resident of Old Street in Ambattur and a car driver.
According to the police, J. Ruby (71) of Vijayalakshmi Puram in Ambattur is running a clinic adjacent to her house. “On Tuesday night, Srinivasan entered her clinic and told her that he was suffering from stomach pain. Trusting him, the doctor poised to treat her ‘patient’.
At the time, he snatched her 12 sovereigns chain and fled,” the police said. Based on the complaint given by Ruby, police arrested Srinivasan and sent him to judicial custody.
