Auto Driver stabbed near Punjagutta

Police said Anwar used to harass the accused, Riyasath Ali Sajju, stating that he would tell the others that he had HIV.

Hyderabad: An autorickshaw driver was stabbed during a quarrel with his colleague near Panjagutta crossroads on Wednes-day evening. The driver, M. Anwar, 32, was shifted to Gandhi Hospital where he died.

Police said Anwar used to harass the accused, Riyasath Ali Sajju, stating that he would tell the others that he had HIV.

Panjagutta ACP Thiru-pathanna said, Sajju attacked Anwar indiscriminately near Punja-gutta crossroads. Pas-sersby and fellow drivers tried to stop them.”

Police rushed the victim in an 108 ambulance to Gandhi Hospital in Secunderabad where he died during treatment.

Sajju told the police that Anwar used to harass him stating that he was infected with HIV and that he would tell the others.

Police arrested Sajju and registered a murder case for further investigations.
