Hyderabad: Special Operations Team (SOT), Rachakonda along with Neredmet police arrested a man on Monday for running a prostitution racket by bringing in girls from various cities to Hyderabad.
Syed Rafeeq, Addl DCP, SOT, Rachakonda, identified the prostitution kingpin of the racket as P. Sarkar Pradeep, 42, who brought in girls from Kolkata, Kolhapur and Solapur.
"Pradeep alias Sanju along with one Malik, 45, would torture the girls after confining them in a room in Nirmal Nagar, Neredmet. We found one of the girls in the lodge at Neredmet. Based on Sanju's statement, we found four more girls in a lodge in Patancheru, who were kept in there since Saturday," said the official. Malik is absconding.
All five girls who were rescued by the officials have been sent to rescue home.
