A case has been registered against the accused under various sections of the IPC at the Nacharam police station.
Hyderabad: A BSNL employee who was duping public for the past two years was nabbed by the Nacharam police on Tuesday.
B. Vittal Reddy, Inspector of Nacharam police station, identified the accused as Komaraiah Naik, 36, a resident of Shirdi Sai colony, a BSNL employee. “Komaraiah was duping prospective job seekers since 2016 by luring them with an offer of employment opportunity at BSNL. He charged money from candidates on the false promise of jobs,” said the official.
Narsingh Rao, one such candidate who was looking for a job, fell for the promise and paid Rs 2 lakh to Komaraiah on June 15. Komaraiah duped people to the tune of Rs 19 lakh.
