BENGALURU: Two workers sustained injuries after the roof of an under construction three storied building collapsed in Girinagar police limits on Thursday morning.
Police has identified the injured as Ramesh Singh, 20 and Ashok, 34.
The incident took place around 11.45 am and the roof collapse happened on the third floor, allegedly due to sub-standard work.
The two workers happened to be there at the time of the incident. The mishap came to light when fellow workers heard their screams and rushed to their help. An alert was made to the police, who visited the spot.
The construction was taken up by the slum clearance board. Girinagar police have booked a case of negligence against the supervisor and contractor and begun investigation.
