Delhi woman slaps 'eve teaser' for obscene remarks, drags him to police station

New Delhi: A woman caught hold of a man by his collar and slapped him before dragging him to a police station for making obscene comments in a crowded market in Delhi.

According to reports, the incident occurred on February 25 when two men started harassing the woman who was walking with her friend to Gaffar market in Karol Bagh area of West Delhi.

The two accused followed the woman for quite some time and passed sexually inappropriate comments.

The woman along with her friend got into a cycle-rickshaw to avoid the miscreants. But the men allegedly did not back off, and followed the rickshaw and continued passing lewd remarks.

The woman then reportedly got down from the rickshaw and started slapping one of the men. As a crowd gathered, the woman dragged him to a nearby police station and filed a complaint.

The police have arrested both men who have been identified as Manish and Abhishek, from Charkhi Dadri in Haryana, around 100 km from Delhi and a case has been registered over the incident.
