Hyderabad: The Jeedimetla police arrested two engineering graduates while they were carrying LSD, which was couriered to them by one of their friends in the USA.
Police suspects that the duo was trying to sell the drug, estimated to cost Rs 40,000, especially to New Year revellers in and around the city.
Police said I. Rathnagiri and Kishor were returning from a courier's office after receiving the package. Based on a tip off, police chased them and arrested them.
“We recovered 24 stamps of LSD. Their friend, who is pursuing his MS in the USA, had purchased the drug and sent it to them,” said a police official from Jeedimetla.
