Dowleswaram Residents Protest Against Blade Batch Attacks

Kakinada: Residents of Cottonpeta in Dowleswaram, Rajamahendravaram Rural mandal, expressed their outrage over a recent attack by a group known as the "Blade Batch" on youth Jyothula Manikumar. The incident occurred on Friday night at Cottonpeta, leaving Manikumar injured and requiring hospitalization.

On Saturday, a delegation of Cottonpeta residents visited the camp office of Rajamahendravaram MP M. Bharat, accompanied by the injured youth. They raised concerns about the rampant attacks and vandalism by the Blade Batch and the Ganja Batch, who have been terrorizing the community by breaking streetlights and disrupting the peace.

"We are living in constant fear of these hooligans, especially at night," a resident stated. "Despite lodging complaints with the Dowleswaram police, no action has been taken against these perpetrators."

MP Bharat expressed his anger over the police's inaction and immediately contacted the Dowleswaram circle inspector, demanding strict action against the antisocial elements. He emphasized the need to restore order and protect the safety of Cottonpeta residents.
