Telangana: Missing dalit youths' case unresolved
Nizamabad: High drama ensues after two dalit youth went missing from Abhangapatnam village in Navipet mandal on November 12. Former BJP leader M. Bharath Reddy threatened that he would dip the duo in mud water for raising questions against his quarry in Abhangapatnam. The incident came to light after a video clip went viral on social media 15 days ago.
Mr Reddy is allegedly absconding after kidnapping the youths. Police found a vehicle of the TRS leader, which was used to kidnap the victims. Three special teams are searching for Mr Reddy in Nizamabad and Hyderabad. Reportedly, the dalit youths appeared in High Court last week and have not returned home so far.
It is believed that they are still being held captive by Mr Reddy. Nizamabad commissioner of police Kartikeya quickly reacted on the grave crimes being committed and hopes to get a break in 24 to 48 hours. The police are clueless about both the accused and the victims.
The police had taken around 15 persons into custody in relation to the Abhangapatnam case. Few of them are regularly in touch with the former BJP leader. Police are verifying the case from all angles for the safe return of the victims. The police is also planning to open a history sheet against Mr Reddy, who is involved in two murder cases and other settlement cases.
