BENGALURU: The Marathahalli police have caught two people red-handed while they were trying to commit theft at an ATM kiosk. The accused have been identified as Vinod alias Appu and Jacob. The police said constables Usman and Beeralingappa were on night patrolling. Around 1.45 am, they found a man moving around suspiciously in front of a Citibank ATM kiosk on Marathahalli Main Road. When the policemen went near him, the suspect fled. The policemen went inside the kiosk to find another man trying to break open the ATM.

"Jacob, who was inside the kiosk, was caught red-handed. He was trying to break open the ATM using a boulder. Surprisingly, the security guard of the ATM was in deep sleep in the kiosk and unaware of the incident. Jacob was arrested and based on the information provided by him, Vinod was arrested later.
