Andhra Pradesh: GRP constable attempts suicide over Sub Inspector's harassment

Visakhapatnam: A police constable of Government Railway Police (GRP), Vizianagaram attempted suicide by consuming pesticide in the police station premises after the sub-inspector allegedly harassed him.

As per reports, K. Satish and K. Swapna are a couple working as constables under GRP, Vizianagaram for the past one year. The Sub-Inspector Ch. Srinivasa Rao has been harassing Satish and few others and insulted Satish in front of Swapna.

Unable to bear it, Satish consumed pesticide inside the police station to end his life on Saturday. The GRP personnel shifted Satish to a private hospital, where his condition is said to be stable. However, the sub-inspector has dismissed these allegations and claimed that he instructed his staff to perform duties without any comprise.
