Hyderabad: Tribal students of Malakpet Government School said that the caretaker of the Grameena Abhivrudhi Seva Samithi Hostel had insulted them by publicly calling out each of their castes.
The students further alleged that the caretaker and other members of the management were making money by illegally moving goods, including food items, which were meant to be supplied to the students.
Child rights activists have lodged a complaint against caretaker Rama Krishna under provisions of the Scheduled Castes and Tribes (Prevention of Atrocities) Act and the Juvenile Justice (Care and Protection of Children) Act.
Members of the Balala Hakkula Sangham are demanding the immediate arrest of the caretaker and derecognition of the Grameena Abhivrudhi Seva Samithi. They say that the children should be shifted to a place with better amenities.
