Bengaluru: A 25-year-old man stabbed his friend to death after a fight over a minor issue in Bandepalya on Monday night. The two were consuming alcohol and were inebriated at the time of incident.
The deceased has been identified as Yashwant, who hailed from Mandya, while the accused Swamy is absconding after stabbing him. Yashwant, Swamy and their friend Sunil had a liquor party at Sunil's uncle house. Sunil slept off early, while Yashwant and Swamy stayed up talking.
While the discussion was on, Yashwant and Swamy began fighting over a minor issue. As the duo was shouting at each other, Sunil woke up and tried to pacify them. But the fight had turned intense. Swamy rushed into the kitchen, picked up a knife and stabbed Yashwant in the chest, leaving him profusely bleeding. Sunil who rushed in to help Yashwant was also stabbed by Swamy who then fled the spot. With the help of neighbours, Sunil rushed Yashwant to a nearby hospital, where he succumbed to injuries.
