Thiruvananthapuram: State police chief Loknath Behera has urged the public to immediately alert cyber cells in case of any online cheating as the chances of blocking fraud transactions were quite high within two hours. A recently launched social media platform cyber police cell officials, banks, payment gateways and shopping portals could prevent fraudulent transactions to the tune of about Rs 25 lakh within a month.
Mr Behera cautioned in a statement that one should never share the one-time passwords to unknown persons and in case of a fraud transaction, related SMS messages should not be deleted from the mobile phone.
