Hyderabad: Madhura Nagar police have remanded television artist and singer N Sandeep, who is accused of cheating a woman under the pretext of love.
Initially, a Zero FIR was registered at Golconda PS in the city on a complaint from the victim, 28 and the case was later transferred to Madhura Nagar PS on point of jurisdiction for further investigation.
Sandeep is known for his roles in a television show aired on a vernacular channel.
According to police, in the year 2018, when Sandeep began his career, he came in contact with the victim through WhatsApp and soon they became friends.
Gradually their friendship blossomed into love and they have been in a relationship since then.
However, recently when the victim spoke about marriage he did not respond and had been avoiding her since then.
Upset with this, the victim approached the police seeking justice.
The Police has registered a case and arrested him and remanded him to judicial custody on Friday.
