Hyderabad: Meat seller, aides arrested for killing 1
Hyderabad: Suspecting that a folk artist has performed black magic on his wife, due to which she was facing ailments, a meat seller from Hyderabad along with his aides killed man by slitting the throat on Friday.
The accused had also cut the ears of the deceased to show to the ailing woman so that she would recover, said the Rachakonda police, who arrested the accused on Sunday at Valigonda.
According to the cops, the deceased person identified as B. Shankaraiah (63), was a resident of Sangem village in Valigonda mandal. He was a folk artist by profession who roamed in the villages telling stories (Burrakath) through folk songs.
On Friday noon, when he was going to Vayinapally village on a bike, an SUV had hit him from the rear.
After he suffered a fall, three persons attacked him and sliced his throat. Further, the accused cut his ears before fleeing, said the police.
A case of murder was registered and during the investigation, it was identified that the suspects travelled in an SUV with registration number AP12 E4481, and were apprehended on Sunday morning, when they were heading towards Hyderabad.
The police said that the accused persons identified as Boyini Shankaraiah, a meat seller from Moula Ali area, his employee T. Sai Kiran and his brother B. Prabhakar and uncle B. Yadaiah were taken into custody and questioned.
