Audio clips in Sheena Bora murder case integral part of chargesheets: CBI
New Delhi: CBI today made it clear that certain audio clips related to Sheena Bora murder case had been taken note of and formed "integral part' of its charge sheets in the case.
Reacting to the audio tapes being played or referred to in certain news channels, CBI spokesperson said these clips have already been fully investigated by the agency. "All the audio recordings form an integral part of the charge sheets filed by CBI in court against Peter Mukerjea, Indrani Mukerjea and others on November 19, 2015 and February 16, 2016.”
"Hence, these audio recordings are relied upon materials in the charge sheets and already submitted in the court. The court has taken cognisance of the same," the spokesperson said.
Sheena (24), daughter of Indrani Mukerjea from her past marriage, was allegedly strangled in a car by Indrani on April 24, 2012 and her body was burnt before it was dumped in a forest in adjoining Raigad district of Maharashtra.
CBI has filed two chargesheets in which Indrani, her former husband Sanjeev Khanna, her present husband Peter Mukerjea and former driver Shyamvar Rai, have been charged with murdering Sheena, disposing of her body and disappearance of evidence.
