KAKINADA: An 11-year-old boy, Esappa Vyshnav Kumar studying Class IV in a private school at Polavaram, was found dead in the bathroom of the school hostel under suspicious circumstances on Monday morning.
The relatives of the boy staged an agitation, expressing concern over the death.
According to Polavaram police of West Godavari District, Vyshnav Kumar of Gajjaram village in Tallapudi mandal, who was living with his mother Kumari, had not gone to school regularly for the past two years. His mother put him in a private school in Polavaram on July 14 and he was admitted to the hostel on July 21.
On Monday, the boy and two other students went to the bathroom. The two boys came out and said something went wrong. When the hostel warden went to the bathroom, the boy was seen on the floor of the bathroom with a tie tied to his neck. He immediately took the boy to the school and informed the police.
The police came and shifted the boy to the government hospital.
The boy’s relatives expressed doubts about the cause of the death and staged an agitation. The Polavaram police registered a case.
